The Foolish eagle - A story by me !

It was a fine weather, and it flew high up in the sky near God. The eagle was quite proud of itself and thought that he knew everything and was always scoffing at other birds and animals. " I am the best," he said, " There is no one like me," he thought. Although everybody knew about it, they couldn't do anything, because they knew that for the small animals could be his prey and the big animals won't want to argue with him because anyway it would be a waste of time. One day the eagle got into an argument with the fish of the sea where he lived just above on a cliff. " I am better than you," the eagle said." I can fly high above into the sky where I can see all the beauty of the earth. You, have your fins but you, as a matter of fact, can not fly." "Is it so?", the fish said. " You might pride yourself on flying, but can you swim?" 

" Yes I can !" The eagle replied in a jiffy and without thinking, jumped into the waters. It was almost drowning, when it tried to fly and then got out of the water but then the eagle crashed into a tree and died. 

NEVER MAKE FUN OF OTHERS.

The Girl Child : A Tender bud

Little girls of the ages of 6 and below are a joy to see. They prance around, in their cute frocks and ponies all the while singing sweet rhymes and making the person with them so happy that for a while he/she can forget everything else and just listen to their enchanting chatter.
Now-a-days, the scenario is not so good for girls. I think I understated, and maybe I should mean quite bad. The crimes against women and girls of all ages are increasing day by day.
Such crimes such as rape, sexual harassment and molesting are a crisis, a problem that keeps coming again and again. The perverted  people who commit such disgusted and heinous acts should be punished severely. 

But look at the positive side! The government is trying its best to stop the crimes, some girls have made themselves powerful and strong and we all want our country to be a better place.

Doodling an Owl - Save Owls !

Doodling an Owl 

Owls are third on my list of favorite birds. And what reason do I have not to like them ? They're majestic, beautiful and quiet.Well, silence is golden, and it helps these wonderful birds catch their prey, which usually consists of mice and small mammals. Unfortunately, the numbers of this species has seen a rapid decline in the recent times. During festivals owls are caught and offered as a sacrifice to the gods, mainly Lakshmidevi during Diwali. I don't know what makes these people think that catching an innocent owl and offering it to gods will appease their wrath. Well, festivals aren't needed to kill them.Village folks catch owls and kill them as a bad omen, Poachers for their beaks,talons and feathers and other evil people for their eyes and organs to perform unnecessary rituals and trade in the name of black magic. I wish these people would stop doing it. Owls help us keep our farms and fields rat-free and they keep the ecosystem well balanced. So whenever you see an Owl, try to save it and remember my article .

Did you know ? Whenever you go to a much more greener place than the cities you live in, your eyes begin to relax. This is because our eyes have evolved like that. So go on , 
                     Enjoy the greenery that I have brought for you !

Living In Space 

Living in space is very hard. There's no gravity, so doing everyday things isn't a piece of cake.
Here are some ways astronauts live and work in space aboard a space station. 

1. Cleanliness-

        Astronauts need to stay clean in space as well as you need to on earth.They have toothpastes, toothbrushes, combs, brushes and shavers. All these are to be found in a personal hygiene kit.Astronauts use different and special kinds of soap and shampoo. After washing they wipe up with a towel.

2. Neat and Tidy-

       In space, astronauts live in a very small space. They have to keep their area clean in space just like we do on Earth. They use wet wipes to clean things. There are four bins on the space shuttle. The first three bins are for wet trash and the last fourth one is for dry waste. They also use a vacuum cleaner. 

3. Beauty Sleep-

      Well, don't suppose that astronauts float around in sleep !

They hop into a sleeping bag and then strap themselves in it. Otherwise they would be crashing into things all night!

It is really hard to live in space, still astronauts are trained for it and they do it to find out more about the mind boggling, beautiful space.

SAVE BIRDS

Dr. Salim Ali, 

one of the greatest ornithologists and naturalists of all time, is also known as the “birdman of India”. He was one of the very first scientists to carry out systematic bird surveys in India and abroad. His research work is considered highly influential in the development of ornithology.

Today is Dr. Salim Alis Birth Anniversary I'm dedicating my Poem to him.

Save Me!

A little voice said,

Don't let me go on my deathbed.

Who am I ? You might ask,

I am a little bird

Spare me!

Don't you hunt me down,

Don't make me fall to the ground.

I want to fly,

High up in the sky

I eat the little things you humans call bugs,

I am not so lucky,

liked poodles and pugs.

I may be dull in colour, or a magnificent blue,

But my family and ancestors,

they all flew.

Our food chain and ecosystem,

all its linked,

Save me my friends!

Don't let me go extinct.

Groaaaaar !!!!

The jungle is full of surprises and mysteries, preys and predators, different varieties of strange and mind boggling creatures. One of them is the majestic and proud cat that we know as the  Tiger. It has stripes, which are known to be as unique as our fingerprints. The tiger has reddish orange fur and is in the species Panthera. It is the Panthera Tigris. They hunt alone and generally at night. A tiger is known to stalk prey already 20 times before killing it. Tigers are good swimmers too. There are atleast five species of tigers.

In India there are royal bengal tigers in the Sunderbans. Now sadly there are less tigers left in the world due too poaching and hunting. We can save the tigers if we don't buy the medicine made out of them. Almost every part of a tiger can be used for something, even the whiskers! So if we don't buy the product of tigers the Tiger market won't flourish and nobody will buy it. Then if no one will buy then the hunters won't have any profit and will stop killing the cat. One more reason that can be a reason for extinction of this species is deforestation and loss of natural habitat . We can stop deforestation by not cutting trees, not buying things made by wood and trying to plant more and more trees as possible. Saving tigers will be a lot good !

To the winds I want to say

Free me of my worldly stress

then sadness will be so less.

To the sun I want to say

Give me warmth of hope 

So with problems can I cope

Your great power let me find

So from no one I lack behind.

To the clouds I want to say 

Wash me of my troubles

So my happiness doubles

With the goodness of your rain,

All sorrows go down the drain.

So even if I miss my train,

and even if it doesn't rain,

Village life

Village life is very simple life. Not like our city which has polluted air. Go to a village and you will see that it is green everywhere. Breathe in the fresh air. Swim in the river. Eat as much you want and rest under the cooling shade of the tree.
Really , village life is beautiful and relaxing.
